Lexus has cut thousands of pounds off prices for its electrified line-up in a move to make electric driving accessible and affordable for more drivers.

The price reductions make electric driving accessible and affordable for more drivers

The new pricing structure brings a £7,100 reduction for the UX 300e fully electric compact SUV, now starting from £40,795.

The larger RZ 450e also gets a price drop; it’s now priced from £57,895, some £2,100 lower than before.

The price cuts also stretch out across the Japanese brand’s plug-in hybrid SUVs.

The mid-size NX 450h+ now starts from £49,995 – down from £54,950. Meanwhile, the flagship RX 450h+ is now priced from £63,995, compared to £67,100 previously.

The changes are effective from this week and cover all versions. The revised pricing also enhances monthly payments for Lexus PCP plans and Lexus Kinto One business contract hire consumer offers.

Other purchase benefits include warranty protection for up to 10 years/100,000 miles, bespoke Lexus insurance products, extended Lexus HomeCharge wallbox offer and the Lexus Reserve programme, which gives complimentary access to hybrid vehicles for Lexus electric car owners, offering added peace of mind for longer trips.

Chris Hayes, director of Lexus in the UK, said: “At a time when people have become all too used to rising prices, we’re pleased to be reversing the trend and offering genuine reductions in the cost of ownership of our leading battery electric and plug-in hybrid models. The enhanced pricing comes with no compromise: customers can be assured of the same high levels of quality, reliability and customer service that have long distinguished our brand in the premium car market.”
