LG Chem to supply batteries for 2016 smart EV

No details of the deal have been released but LG Chem said the mass supply contract will see it provide battery cells to smart EV with the cells then installed into packs by its battery subsidiary Deutsche ACCUmotive.

The agreement means that LG Chem now supplies 13 global automakers.
