The business originally turned to Alphabet to explore plans to add a single PHEV for its 50-vehicle fleet but consultation between the Alphabet for Business team and Chase Evans’ long-standing supply partner, Sytner, identified the financial and environmental benefits of replacing the majority of the fleet.

In addition the location of the Chase Evans offices in the City, Docklands, Canary Wharf and Greenwich, as well as new offices opening in Elephant and Castle and Nine Elms, make the vehicles an ideal solution for driving inside and outside of London’s Congestion Charging zone.

Ian Ruffle, operations director at Chase Evans, added: “Due to the nature of our business, our staff cover a lot of miles in and around London so reducing our carbon footprint is important to us. These cars not only look great on the road, but they also give us peace of mind that we are playing our part in reducing energy wastage and emissions.

“We chose to work with Alphabet not only because they are experts in more sustainable business travel and hybrid electric vehicles, but also their professionalism and customer service has been exceptional. We look forward to building on this relationship moving forward.”

Gavin Davies, general manager, SME sales & distribution at Alphabet, added: “We are proud to have worked in partnership with Chase Evans and Sytner to deliver both a great result for the business in terms of a greener, more efficient fleet, while also providing savings and improved driving experience for employees. So it’s truly a win-win situation for Chase Evans and their drivers.”
