Loveelectric to offer used Lex Autolease EVs via sal-sac

Loveelectric has expanded its electric vehicle salary sacrifice scheme with used EVs from Lex Autolease.

Loveelectric launched its used EV sal-sac scheme, called Re-Loveelectric, earlier this year, and its new partnership with Lex Autolease has exponentially increased the choice of used EVs available to drivers.

Lex Autolease manages one of the largest EV fleets in the UK – it’s said to be responsible for financing one in every eight EVs on the UK’s roads – and the exclusive tie-up gives Loveelectric access to its vehicles before they hit the used car market.

Benefits of operating a used EV on sal-sac are plentiful and include cost savings – Loveelectric says rentals can be up to 61% lower than for identical new sal-sac cars thanks to vehicles having already undergone their initial depreciation. And monthly payments still include road tax, fully comprehensive insurance, servicing, breakdown cover and maintenance to give complete peace of mind to drivers.

EV drivers also benefit from further savings such as a potentially cheaper charging cost per mile compared to petrol and diesel, as well as avoiding Ultra Low Emission Zone and Clean Air Zone charges.

And Loveelectric’s used EVs are also available immediately, with no long lead times.

“Salary sacrifice is already the cheapest way to fund an electric car. It enables employees to save 30% to 60% compared to personal leasing, by paying for a car out of gross salary,” said Steve Tigar, CEO and founder of Loveelectric. “Extending the pool of available vehicles to cheaper, second-hand models amplifies these savings by hundreds of pounds per month.”

A recent article by Fleet World editor-at-large Alex Grant outlined that leasing companies are increasingly moving into used vehicle leasing, helping to mitigate the effects of fluctuating used values while making end-user fleets’ electrification targets more affordable and benefiting drivers too.

Loveelectric’s Steve Tigar added: “Chris Stark, CEO of the Climate Change Committee, recently called for greater consumer access to used EVs, and our mission through Re-Loveelectric is to make all-electric motoring as accessible as possible to as many people as possible by seizing the massive cost advantages of used models.”
