MG to debut Cyberster EV roadster at Goodwood Festival of Speed

MG’s new Cyberster electric sports car is to make its global public debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2023, providing a first glimpse of the two-seater convertible in the metal.

Due on sale in summer 2024, the electric Cyberster reboots MG’s roadster heritage for a new era

Two Cybersters will be at the festival; one on the main MG stand while another will be stationed in the First Glance paddock and will take on the iconic hill climb twice a day over the entire event.

Due on sale in summer 2024, the Cyberster is a pivotal new model, rebooting MG’s roadster heritage for a new era.

Guy Pigounakis, commercial director for MG Motor UK, said: “The Cyberster marks MG’s long-awaited return to sports car production and we’re ready to share what that exciting future looks like with this high-performance, technologically advanced EV.”

First revealed in concept form in 2021, the Cyberster provides a spiritual successor to the TF, while opening a “bold and compelling new chapter” for the brand.

It combines traditional roadster features such as the long bonnet and low nose, with new distinctive new touches such as scissor doors and a ‘Kammback’ rear design.

MG will also bring two further electric performance cars to Goodwood. Full details are still be revealed but the brand has confirmed that they include a British-designed and -built prototype, codenamed EX4, and a second, sporting EV that will be available for sale later in the summer of 2023.
