MG Motor UK will use next month’s Great British Fleet Event to showcase its new MG ZS EV and MG5 EV Long Range, both key vehicles for fleets.

The updated MG ZS EV brings a longer range of up to 273 miles

Run by Fleet World, the event (click here for details) takes place on 29 March 2022 at Novotel London West, Hammersmith and includes a busy exhibition area, packed conference line-up and the prestigious awards ceremony in the afternoon.

The MG team will be on hand at the show to meet fleet customers and display the latest additions to its vehicle line-up.

The renewed ZS EV builds on the success of the previous variant, characterised by a longer range of up to 273 miles, modernised design, improved performance, and even more technology.

It introduces a fresh 72kWh battery pack, delivering a substantial range increase, as well as a new iSmart connectivity system that brings latest infotainment features.

The MG5 EV Long Range debuted in summer 2021 and offers a range of up to 250 miles, along with the flexibility and practicality of a spacious station wagon.

The new longer range variant sits in MG’s rapidly expanding electric car portfolio, alongside the ZS EV and the MG HS Plug-in Hybrid, which between them accounted for over 40% of MG’s total sales in 2021. The brand says it has the highest share of EV sales for any brand selling both EV and ICE cars in the market.

Both of the models at the event feature fast-charging capability and qualify for 2% Benefit-in-Kind tax in the 2022/23 tax year.

MG Motor’s head of fleet sales, Geraint Isaac said: “Growing MG’s presence in the business car market is a big focus for the brand in the coming months and years and we have a terrific range of EV models that will really help us to expand our presence.

“The Great British Fleet Event is a perfect opportunity for business leaders and fleet manager to come and speak to MG’s fleet team about how we can help them reduce their carbon footprint and reduce their costs, in addition to helping their employees save money thanks to the favourable BiK rates applied to EVs.”

MG currently offers six models in the UK including three plug-in cars – the new ZS EV, MG5 EV and HS Plug-in Hybrid.
