The ChargePoint EV Level 2 chargers will be located in the hotels’ car parks and valet areas and will be available for employees and guests to use at no cost. All feature J1772 charging connectors, as fitted to the Nissan LEAF and Chevrolet Volt, among others, and real-time status will be accessible via a smartphone app.

Four units are already installed and operating at Mandalay Bay, MGM Grand Las Vegas and Circus Circus in Reno, and the remainder will be live by the end of February.

Cindy Ortega, Chief Sustainability Officer of MGM Resorts International, said: ‘It is important that our guests have the convenience and ability to continue sustainable habits during their time with us. The installation of these charging stations encourages green practices in both our guests and employees, serving as a natural step toward smarter, cleaner transportation systems.’
