MGS5 EV teased as successor to MG ZS
MG, partner at the 2025 Great British Fleet Event, has previewed a new all-electric compact SUV ahead of its arrival this spring.
Previewed in two teaser images, the newcomer will succeed the ZS EV, and has already been unveiled in China as the MG ES5.
It’s based on the modular scalable platform (MSP) created for the highly popular MG4 hatchback and will deliver “excellent dynamic performance whether in the city or open road as well as superb range”.
The Kia EV3 and Škoda Elroq 5 rival will also provide the “enhanced space, comfort and practicality offered by an SUV”.
MG also promises an all-new premium cabin with a striking design and advanced features, unique to the model and “designed to raise the standards in the SUV segment”.
And the brand says the new model will continue to underline MG’s strong commitment to offering outstanding and competitive value, especially in the EV market.
David Allison, head of product and planning for MG Motor UK, said:
“The MGS5 EV has all the credentials to impress, a generously equipped and spacious SUV but with the all-electric performance that MG customers enjoy so much. In terms of cabin ambience and technology this model will offer a new and greatly enhanced MG experience.”
Full details of the MGS5 EV will be released over the coming weeks ahead of its debut this spring.
