Mina partners with ev.energy to enable smart home charging for fleets

EV fleet payment specialist Mina has teamed up with home charging software leader ev.energy to provide fleet drivers with smart home charging solutions.

Mina’s business driver customers can now automatically charge their company EVs at home when it’s cleanest and greenest according to the grid

Drivers on the Mina platform already have access to all of their charging data through the Mina Driver Portal, and the new tie-up leverages ev.energy’s technology to enable smart charging.

This means that Mina’s business driver customers can automatically charge their company EVs when it’s cleanest and greenest according to the grid.

New functionality includes the ability to track charging consumption, costs and carbon emissions by charging through a growing list of certified home chargers and covering 80% of EVs thanks to in-vehicle telematics. A full range of ev.energy-compatible chargers and EVs is expected to be available mid-February 2022.

The partnership also provides Mina’s customers with the ability to access a complete view of each driver’s charging data from the vehicle itself, benefiting both drivers and fleet managers through extensive insights into their vehicle charging behaviour.

Ashley Tate, CEO and co-founder of Mina, commented: “The partnership with ev.energy forms a key part of Mina’s connected car technology strategy. By combining data from multiple sources, Mina is able to provide customers with ultimate assurances in accuracy, fraud prevention and driver experience.”

Over 150 test users have already come forward to trial the early integration in February 2022 alongside the Indra Smart Pioneer, and the service will be available to other fleets, small businesses, and sole traders from March 2022.
