Network Rail expands EV provision with Chippenham chargers
Network Rail has rolled out charging points at Chippenham Station, extending its EV provision further.
The 28x 22kW eBox Professional charge points have gone live at Chippenham Station’s Cocklebury Road car park under a partnership with parking firm APCOA, along with Compleo and AmcoGiffen.
The new arrivals bring the current number of charging points across Network Rail’s key commuter stations to around 500 – APCOA announced earlier this year that it’s planning to provide around 750 chargers by mid-spring 2024.
The chargers at Chippenham station, which is centrally located in the town, will be available to rail passengers, as well as shoppers and visitors to the nearby Wiltshire College.
The full end-to-end service is provided by APCOA, including a 24/7 UK-based customer service centre that offers remote operational support and manages customer enquiries. The auto pay facility provided via APCOA Connect enables simple and secure payment for both charging and parking

Other Network Rail stations with charging points include Reading, Letchworth, Leeds, Manchester, Edinburgh and Welwyn Garden City.
