New DriveElectric website to clear up confusion on EV leasing
A new website providing clearer information about the leasing of electric vehicles has launched from DriveElectric to help address confusion among drivers.
The site has been heavily revised to give clear insights on a number of areas, including the realistic driving range. It features a graphic that instantly provides four values for an EV’s range: official WLTP range, summer real-world range, winter real-world range, and the combined real-world range.
It also includes information on EVs’ efficiency, battery size and maximum rate of charging – an increasingly important subject as more rapid and ultra-rapid chargers are rolled out across the UK.
Leasing prices are also provided online, with the option to select the desired lease term, the initial rental and annual mileage, for both personal and business customers.
The site forms part of DriveElectric’s recent investment in digital technology, following increasing interest in electric cars and vans.
Mike Potter, managing director of DriveElectric, said: “Having provided expert advice about EVs to our customers since 2008, we wanted to share our knowledge more widely, to give consumers and businesses more clarity on the biggest misconceptions about driving EVs. Subjects such as the differing charging rates of EVs are not common knowledge to many drivers, and our new site allows us to raise awareness about these issues with a wider audience.”
