Osprey Charging has opened a new electric vehicle rapid charging site at the Bird in Hand in Knowl Hill, Berkshire.

The new site will provide residents, businesses and visitors with convenient EV charging

The three new 75kW charging points are situated next to the pub, restaurant and hotel and can add up to 100 miles of range in as little as 35 minutes.

Osprey has funded this installation, operation and oversees maintenance of the chargers, which are all supplied with renewable energy.

The new site will provide residents, businesses and visitors with convenient EV charging. The chargers accept contactless bank cards, Apple/Google Pay, the Osprey app and RFID card payments as well as payments through all major third-party payment methods including fleet cards.

The site will also bolster the UK national EV charging infrastructure, while improving local air quality, reducing noise pollution and supporting local decarbonisation efforts.

Ian Johnston, CEO of Osprey Charging, said: “Osprey now has over 800 charge points installed across the UK, each carefully designed to maximise space, accessibility and availability and made to the latest and highest standards. This new charging site at the Bird in Hand in Knowl Hill is a vital part of the recharging network that will enable the decarbonisation of transport in the UK.”
