Real estate investment trust NewRiver REIT and Osprey Charging Network have opened their first EV rapid charging site in the heart of Warminster under their new partnership.

Four rapid charging points are now up and running at NewRiver’s Three Horseshoes Walk Shopping Centre in central Warminster

Four rapid charging points are available for customers at NewRiver’s Three Horseshoes Walk Shopping Centre in central Warminster, Wiltshire. The site is home to major retail brands such as M&S Food, Boots and B&M.

The chargers can add 100 miles of range in around 35 minutes for compatible cars, and are easy to use and designed with simple payment for all drivers, accepting contactless bank cards, Apple/Google Pay, the Osprey App and RFID card payments, as well as payments through all major third-party payment methods including fleet cards.

The new partnership could see around 31 extra rapid charging points deployed across NewRiver’s UK-wide retail portfolio, which includes community shopping centres and retail parks.

Osprey covers all costs associated with installing and servicing the rapid charging points while sharing the profits.

Andrew Nosworthy, commercial director at Osprey Charging, said: “This first charging site in Warminster is part of the re-charging network that will enable the decarbonisation of transport in the UK, and NewRiver’s forward-thinking strategy will ensure they stay ahead of the curve by equipping their retail locations to meet growing EV charging demand.”

In the last five years, Osprey has installed more than 200 rapid charge points for portfolio owners including Ediston, London & Scottish Investments, M7 Real Estate and Brookhouse Group.
