Orders open for new Peugeot E-3008 and 3008

Peugeot has opened orders for its new 3008, including the fully electric E-3008 model.

The 3008 gains a fully electric model for the first time

A best-selling model for the brand, the third-generation 3008 adopts a rakish new fastback design and gains a fully electric model for the first time.

It’s the first model to use the brand-new ‘BEV by Design’ STLA-M electric platform from parent firm Stellantis.

It launches with a single-motor electric powertrain, teaming up a 210hp electric motor and a 73kWh lithium-ion battery, capable of a range of up to 326 miles (WLTP) and priced from £45,850.

It’s capable of developing 343Nm of torque, charges from 20% to 80% in 20 minutes from a 160kW charger, and is available in two trim levels: Allure and GT.

The E-3008 comes as standard with an 11kW three-phase onboard charger. At home using a typical 7.4kW charger the battery can be charged from 20% to 100% in 8 hours.

Drivers benefit from a choice of three driving modes – Eco, Normal and Sport – whilst three levels of regenerative braking allow drivers to optimise their range through energy recovery.

The new E-3008 also comes with a suite of driver aids, including adaptive cruise control with Stop & Go function, lane keep assist, and speed limit detection. It also features the latest Peugeot active safety technologies, such as automatic emergency braking with collision warning, lane departure warning, driver attention alert, long-range blind spot monitoring and Advanced Traction Control.

The E-3008 supports Peugeot’s plans to offer a complete EV line-up by 2025, while by 2030, 100% of the brand’s sales in Europe will be electric.

It’s also available from launch as the full hybrid 3008, priced from £34,650 and powered by a 136hp 1.2-litre PureTech petrol engine twinned with a 16kW electric motor and a 48V battery. As with the E-3008, it’s available in Allure and GT grades.

Later on, the line-up will expand with a Dual Motor version will also be offered, featuring the same battery and official range but with increased power and torque, plus a Long Range version with a larger motor and battery, expected to have a 435-mile range. A plug-in hybrid version will also arrive.

The new E-3008 also debuts latest styling, including the brand’s three-claw light signature – upgraded to 3D on GT versions. It also comes with 19- or 20-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels.

Onboard features include a new 21-inch high-definition panoramic curved as standard in the new Peugeot i-Cockpit, a new compact and ergonomic steering wheel with controls, plus ambient LED lighting that can be customised in eight different colours and adapts to different drive modes.

Both Allure and GT models feature a customisable virtual ‘i-Toggle’ display, dual-zone climate control with ‘Quick Launch’ function, an electrochrome rear-view mirror, rear parking sensors, reversing camera, wireless smartphone charging and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Allure models feature dynamic front seats with embossed, quartz-stitched fabric; whilst GT models benefit from heated front seats trimmed with Alcantara and a heated leather steering wheel finished with an iced clay stitch.
