Osprey has expanded public charging access in Stirlingshire with the addition of new ultra-rapid devices.

Osprey has added eight 350kW chargers to the existing two 50kW units at the Highland Gate in Stirling

The charging specialist has added eight 350kW chargers to the existing two 50kW units at the Highland Gate in Stirling, just off the M9. The latest arrivals will add up to 100 miles of range in 15 to 20 minutes of charge, depending on the vehicle and its battery.

Osprey funded the installation and oversees the operation and maintenance of the chargers, all of which are powered by renewable energy.

Osprey’s chargers are designed for easy use and simple payment. They accept contactless bank cards, Apple/Google Pay, the Osprey App and RFID card payments as well as payments through all major third-party payment methods including fleet cards.

Osprey also claims market-leading levels of reliability and innovation in EV roaming thanks to its Osprey Iris inhouse software, which contributed to its ranking by Zapmap as a ‘Driver Recommended Network’ for the fourth consecutive year.

The charge point operator now has more than 1,100 EV chargers available to the public,  with a reliability rate of 99% and speed of growth; the network expanded by 150% in 2023.

Ian Johnston, CEO of Osprey Charging, said: “The rollout of EV charging facilities is quickly gathering pace and we’re here to provide a reliable and rapid public charging service for all drivers, from Cornwall to the Scottish Highlands.

“Osprey now has over 1,100 charge points available to use across the UK, each carefully designed to maximise space, accessibility and made to the latest and highest standards. The new charging site in Stirling will form a vital part of the recharging network that will enable the decarbonisation of transport in the UK.”
