Peugeot has cut pricing for its all-electric e-Rifter MPV, with the entry-level Allure Premium model now eligible for the Plug-in Car Grant.

The entry-level five-seat Allure Premium e-Rifter is now eligible for the Plug-in Car Grant

It means the entry-level e-Rifter Allure Premium in Standard length is now eligible for the £1,500 Plug-in Car Grant (PICG), reducing the OTR list price to £30,450.

The change comes after Peugeot axed petrol and diesel version of the Rifter earlier this year, alongside Stellantis siblings, the Citroën Berlingo and Vauxhall Combo Life.

The e-Rifter is available as either a five-seat standard wheelbase or seven-seat long wheelbase model; the former in Allure Premium and GT trims, while seven-seat models are sold exclusively in Allure Premium. It’s only the 5 Seat Allure Premium that qualifies for the PiCG.

All versions are powered by a 136hp electric motor and a 50kWh battery, giving a WLTP range of up to 172 miles.

The e-Rifter comes as standard with a 7.4kW single-phase on-board charger, enabling a full charge in 7.5 hours. An 11kW three-phase on board charger is available as an option and reduces the charging time to five hours. The e-Rifter can also be charged at up to 100kW DC rapid charging, giving a 0-80% charge in 30 minutes.

With the battery located under the floor, boot space ranges from 775 litres for the five-seat standard wheelbase variants and up to 4,000-litres with the seats folded on the long wheelbase variant. Storage compartments around the cabin provide up to a further 186 litres of additional capacity.
