Peugeot rolls out PHEV tech across entire 3008 trim range
Peugeot has updated its 3008 and 5008 SUVs while also rolling out its plug-in hybrid tech across the 3008 line-up.
From this month, the enhanced models get new trim levels, styling changes and interior upgrades with no change in pricing, bar a £110 increase for models equipped with the 1.2-litre PureTech 130 engine.
The changes see Active Premium + and Allure Premium + replace previous Active Premium and Allure Premium trim levels, with Allure trim no longer available. Both the 3008 and 5008 will now be available in Active Premium +, Allure Premium +, GT and GT Premium specification.
Active Premium + models receive several upgrades over previous Active Premium trim levels. This includes the addition of an ‘Aluminium Pack’ for the front door sills and pedals, 18-inch ‘Storm Grey’ diamond-cut alloy wheels (3008 models only) and aluminium roof rails. Also added is a dark-tinted rear window and rear side windows.
Allure Premium + models also get the ‘Aluminium Pack’, with the roof upgraded to a contrasting ‘Black Diamond’ finish.
The Hybrid 225 e-EAT8 PHEV powertrain is now being made available for the 3008’s new Active Premium + trim, resulting in a lower entry price point for PHEV customers. This is in response to rising demand.
The 3008 Hybrid Active Premium + versions get several additions over their petrol and diesel 3008 counterparts, including: 10-inch touchscreen with connected navigation & voice recognition, ‘Mistral’ leather effect trim with ‘Colyn’ and ‘Mint Green’ stitching, driver’s seat manual lumbar support adjustment, frameless rear view mirror and Advanced Emergency Braking System with video and radar assistance.
The 1.2-litre PureTech 130 and 1.5-litre BlueHDi powertrains on both 3008 and 5008 are also now sold exclusively with the EAT8 eight-speed automatic transmission due to growing customer demand for automatic transmissions over manual gearboxes.
Orders for the updated 3008 and 5008 ranges are now open.
