Homecharge installation activity will continue for people who are key workers and have full battery electric car EV only households. In addition, while commercial installation activity is being halted, projects on workplace installations used by key workers will still go ahead.

Pod Point will also still offer residential and commercial installations where those charge points are used by drivers who are solely reliant on a full battery electric car for their mobility.

In addition, the business will continue maintenance activity for all existing homecharge customers and the public Pod Point Network, as well as workplace charge points which are needed to support key workers.

In such situations, the Pod Point team will still adhere to new safety measures to minimise risk to themselves and customers.

The business is also constantly reviewing the situation and may change the measures set out here as new information and guidance is published by the Government.

A spokesperson said: “We are still committed to our vision of a world where travel doesn’t damage the earth but during these unprecedented times, our priority is to protect the health of our customers, team and wider society.

“Once circumstances allow, we will resume normal business activities as quickly as possible but because the situation is still developing, we don’t yet have a clear timeline for when that will be.

“We’re sorry for any inconvenience caused by our new operating protocols and hope that you, your friends and families are keeping safe and well.”
