PoGo senior appointment to steer ultra-rapid network growth
PoGo Charge, one of the UK’s fastest-growing ultra-rapid electric vehicle charge point operators, has appointed Pete Singleton to support the organisation’s continued expansion.
Launched by Swarco Smart Charging in 2023, PoGo – based on the concept of enabling drivers to ‘Power and Go’ – is working to build a network of 2,000+ ultra-rapid charging stations over the next four years.
As PoGo’s new senior network development manager, Pete Singleton will power up the network expansion, drawing on a wealth of experience in business development. This includes working with property consultants, developers, landlords and investment companies to help best identify suitable roadside sites to provide EV charging. He also has a passion for renewable energy and cleantech.
In 2023, PoGo cemented multiple partnership agreements with landowners and developers, and identified a significant number of new sites for ultra-rapid EV charging at retail, hospitality and roadside locations across the UK.
Singleton will play a pivotal role in delivering the planned sites already in the pipeline and help create new expansion opportunities for the network to grow.
Tom Davies, business development director at PoGo, said: “His experience and contacts will help us to deliver on our ambitions as a network, and to build the right relationships for sustainable growth in the future. I am sure that his vast experience in EV charging, and experiences gained from multiple roles within the energy, solar power, water utilities and telecoms spaces, will strengthen our team going forward.”
