Usage will be tracked using telematics, showing position, speed and battery charge status in real-time, and the Port will install two charging points to support their use by staff. The trial is part of an ongoing project by SEAT, which uses a plug-in hybrid Leon and electric Altea to test its in-house technology.

‘The Port of Barcelona’s commitment to environmental protection and sustainability is clearly reflected in this sort of collaboration which, in this case, also enables us to offer our support to one of this country’s great corporations,’ said Sixte Cambra, Chairman of the Port of Barcelona.
