The extended-range versions open for orders on 5 November and will be priced from £48,650 for the E-3008 and £51,350 for the E-5008, with first deliveries expected for Q1 2025.

Peugeot confirmed last month that the range-busting models have been officially homologated and will deliver up to 435 miles (700km) for the E-3008 and 415 miles (668km) for the E-5008.

These are currently the best electric ranges in the SUV market and mark an increase of up to 108 miles and 104 miles respectively over the standard versions. Peugeot says the E-5008 is the only 100% electric model in its segment to offer long-range capabilities with “exceptional” interior space, and the ability to accommodate up to seven passengers.

The Long Range versions team up a more powerful 230hp motor with a 98kWh battery, compared to the 73kWh packs in the standard variants.

Stellantis’ STLA Medium ‘BEV-by-design’ platform enables use of the larger battery, while maintaining the same interior space and boot volume as the standard electric, hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions.

The Long Range versions also deliver rapid DC charging capabilities of up to 160kW, allowing the battery to charge from 20% to 80% in just 27 minutes.

They also benefit from the new battery pre-conditioning (pre-heating system), which allows them to optimise the initial charging times during long trips and low temperatures. This battery pre-conditioning is automatically activated as soon as the car is plugged in, the charging limit is set to 100% and cabin pre-conditioning is activated (manually or planned).

Peugeot will also expand the E-3008 and E-5008 line-ups further with a third electric powertrain, the 320 dual-motor AWD version.

Both Long Range models are available in Allure and GT trims. They come equipped with 20-inch alloy wheels for the GT versions, while Allure trim features 19-inch alloys.

Peugeot’s Panoramic i-Cockpit delivers a 21-inch curved panoramic display that integrates both the head-up display and central touchscreen into a single user-friendly system. All versions come with the i-Connect Advanced infotainment system, supporting wireless MirrorScreeen technology for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as over-the-air map updates.

Other features on the Allure trim include a rear HD reversing camera, wireless smartphone charging, and Peugeot ‘Open & Go’ keyless entry. GT models gain Pixel LED headlights, a smart electric tailgate, heated front seats, and adaptive cruise control with ‘Stop & Go’ functionality.

The new models are also covered by the Peugeot Allure Care warranty, offering eight years or 100,000 miles of vehicle coverage (including the electric motor, charger, transmission and major electrical and mechanical components).
