Q-Park has launched new charge points at its parking facilities in Glasgow, Chelmsford and Reading, continuing its work to support EV drivers.

In Glasgow, the business has introduced 20 charging points across four of its parking facilities in the city centre, while it’s also launched eight charging points at both its Meadows parking facility in Chelmsford and the Chatham Place parking facility in Reading.

The 22kW devices at all three sites are operated by Blink Charging and available on a pay-as-you-go basis. They are clearly signposted in each parking facility and customers just need to download the Blink Charging – EB Go! App to use them.

Q-Park is currently investing more than £3m in the UK and Ireland, initially to roll out some 600+ charging points across its portfolio of parking facilities.

John Denton, head of commercial at Q-Park UK and IE, said: “Liveability in urban areas is vitally important, and we are delighted to help support more emission-free miles being driven with good quality charging infrastructure. Our comprehensive EV charging point roll-out is progressing throughout the country in 2023 and we look forward to further installations in other cities.”
