Raw Charging continues rollout of charge points at Greene King sites

Raw Charging has installed charge points at one of Greene King’s Leicester venues, expanding its EV charging network further.

The new devices are run on a host ownership model

Three AC units have gone live at the Heathley Park Pub & Grill in Groby Road, providing space for up to six EVs to charge at one time and helping to meet the growing demand among EV drivers for destination charging. Drivers can pay through contactless debit and credit cards, a mobile app, or RFID cards.

It’s the latest project in the firms’ partnership deal, signed last year to deliver charging infrastructure at sites across the UK. Through a host ownership model, Raw Charging funds, installs and manages the ongoing support of all charging points, meeting the charging needs of visitors to Greene King venues.

Bruce Galliford, Raw Charging CEO, said: “There is a growing demand for motorists to charge their EVs while they’re away from home and on the go. Through partnerships like the one we have with Greene King, we are paving the way for market-leading destination charging across the UK.

“As part of our commitment to helping the UK achieve a net zero emissions future, we hope by increasing the availability of charging points in the UK it will make clean motoring more accessible, encourage more people to embrace EVs and ultimately help the country become carbon net zero.”
