Renault takes Z.E. range on tour

Each of the city centres or visitor attractions on the Renault Z.E. Tour was chosen for its proximity to a Z.E. dealer and local charging infrastructure. The carmaker will be based out of a geodesic dome, with a Twizy handling course alongside, where members of the public will be able to book demonstrations and on-road test drives.

The Kangoo Z.E., Fluence Z.E. and Twizy will be available to try from the start of the tour, later joined by a ZOE display car. Renault will present attendees with a sheet displaying what they could save by making the switch to an equivalent Z.E. vehicle, with all entries put into a prize draw for the amount of money saved.

Andy Heiron, UK head of electric vehicles programme, said: ‘Our current three-model range has already been attracting a lot of interest, especially the unique Twizy. The proof of the pudding though is trying them out.

‘We’re confident that after experiencing the refined and responsive driving experience of a purely electric vehicle, combined with the financial and environmental benefits of switching to an electric vehicle, potential buyers will be smitten.’
