Designed to offer convenient loans, Twizy Way by Renault is based around a smartphone app which allows users to locate a vehicle nearby and book it up to 15 minutes before they need to use it. The Twizys can also be booked out by scanning a QR code on the vehicle at the point of use.

To finish the loan, the driver just needs to leave the Twizy at any public car park within the area covered by the service. The test fleet launches on the 21st June with 50 Twizys, based out of the Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines region of France and covering a 16.7-mile square area.

Thierry Viadieu, director of Renault's New Mobility Programme, said: ‘With this practical test, Renault wishes to confirm that Twizy is particularly well-suited to car-sharing schemes and verify the logistics required to offer this self-service solution.’
