REWE Region Mitte to install Fastned fast chargers at supermarkets

German retail firm REWE Region Mitte has teamed up with EV charging network Fastned to trial fast charging services.

Fastned said the sustainable mission of both companies is reflected by the use of wood in both the charging stations and supermarkets

The partnership will start with a pilot at four REWE Region Mitte supermarkets around Frankfurt with plans to expand to additional locations, enhancing the shopping experience for electric vehicle drivers.

Michiel Langezaal, CEO of Fastned, said: “We are excited by this partnership with REWE because they have an extensive network of suitable locations and sustainability is part of their mission. We are confident that we can provide a valuable service to customers of REWE and grow the number of fast charging stations in the future.”
