Reworked Tesla Model Y gains cheaper variants
The new Tesla Model Y is now available in cheaper variants, delivering more choice and access for fleets.

The new variants drop entry pricing for the Model Y to £44,990
The global bestseller has been majorly reworked overhauled and launched last month solely in the Launch Series limited edition, priced from £60,990 and with a dual-motor Long Range All-Wheel Drive configuration.
The wider line-up has now landed, priced from £44,990 and delivering Rear-Wheel Drive, Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive and Long Range All-Wheel Drive versions of the electric SUV.
The entry-level Rear-Wheel Drive model features a single 279hp rear motor and 57.5kWh battery and delivers up to 311 miles of WLTP range along with 0-60mph in 5.6 seconds.
The Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive starts at £48,990 and switches up to a 75kWh battery, delivering up to 387 miles of range, the highest range of the line-up, along with 0-60mph in 5.4 seconds.
Sitting above this, the Long Range All-Wheel Drive gains an extra motor on its front axle to despatch the 0-60mph sprint in 4.6 seconds. It’s capable of 364 miles of WLTP range and starts at £51,990.
These join the Model Y Launch Series that opened the line-up last month and delivers 0-60mph in 4.1 seconds and up to 353 miles of range.
All models get the new Model Y’s completely redesigned interior and exterior plus overhauled engineering and latest comfort, connectivity and safety features.
The revamped Model Y ‘Juniper’ gets a sleeker design that reduces drag, combined with new wheels featuring improved aerodynamics and low-resistance tyres.
New front and rear lightbars draw on Cybertruck and Cybercab styling and a new front camera is also now available, giving an expanded view of surroundings and even equipped with a fluid washer and integrated heating.
As with the Model 3, the interior has been made over with a key focus on interior refinement and ambience. The two front seats have been redesigned for improved comfort and are now ventilated. The second-row seats offer extra comfort and convenience with easier-to-access buckles, longer cushions, deeper bolsters, with powered recline and fold-flat operation.
Both first and second rows are heated, with integrated climate controls.
Acoustic glass is now used on every surface and, paired with new sound-dampening materials, is said to have reduced road noise by 22%, impact noise by 20% and wind noise by 20%.
Both haptic switches and physical buttons are used for in-car functions and there’s new customisable steering wheel switches for quick access to frequently used vehicle functions, along with indicator controls on a conventional stalk.
Ride comfort has been enhanced while still retaining the Tesla signature agility and handling. The revised chassis includes a stiffer body structure, redesigned suspension geometry and kinematics, also borrowing damping technology from the revamped Model 3.
First deliveries of the new additions start in June.
