Roadchef and Gridserve open ultra-rapid hub at M27 Rownhams Services
Motorway services operator Roadchef has launched a new Super Hub of ultra-rapid chargers at Rownhams Services Eastbound on the M27.
Located on the south coast, just outside of Southampton, the hub has been opened in partnership with Gridserve and features six new 350kW chargers.
The facilities will allow drivers to fully charge their vehicles in a matter of minutes. All Gridserve Electric Super Hubs feature CCS connectors and one charger at Rownhams has both CCS and CHAdeMO demo connectors, accepts contactless payment, and provides real-time status updates to a number of popular EV charging maps. The chargers are powered by 100% net zero carbon energy.
EV drivers will also be able to make use of the other facilities at Roadchef Rownhams eastbound, including complimentary Wi-Fi, plus Costa, McDonalds and WH Smith stores.
