Rolec EV and Sinexcel to bring ‘more affordable’ rapid charging for UK fleets
EV charge point manufacturer Rolec EV has partnered with global electric tech firm Sinexcel to introduce a new range of DC rapid charging stations to the UK.
Rolec already offers a wide range of AC fast and DC rapid charging points and says the latest additions will be the most price competitive in the industry.
Three models will be available, offering speeds from 60kW through to 480kW, and aimed at public, fleet and highway infrastructure deployment.
The first to arrive will be the UltraCharge 160, which has already undergone major testing at Rolec’s HQ in Lincolnshire for more than six months and passed compliance procedures. This model will start , liveries from February 2023. It uses a modular and scalable platform that can be upgraded in modules of 20kW, all the way up to 160kW. It also features an intelligent dynamic power balancing feature that enables two vehicles to charge simultaneously and can be activated via either mobile app, RFID, Apple Pay, Google Pay or contactless card payment as well as conforming to the ISO 15118 Plug & Charge standard. The UltraCharge 160 also comes with contactless payment terminal and long reach cables as standard.

“The modular approach of Sinexcel has enabled Rolec to hold UK stock of 60/80/120/160kW models, offering next-day delivery to our UK customers. With a 160kW unit retailing at £25,000 we know this product is going to be very well received by the industry!”
