Rome to gain 200 EV charging points
Signed in Rome yesterday by Gianni Alemanno, mayor of Rome, Fulvio Conti, chief executive of Enel, and Marco Staderini, chief executive officer at Acea, the network will offer drivers the chance to access both companies’ charging points using a single card, designed to make commuting in and out of the capital as easy as possible. Billing will be handled by drivers’ respective power companies.
In addition to establishing a large charging infrastructure, the project will introduce a one-of-a-kind pilot scheme formed as part of the co-operation between Acea and Enel. The town of San Cosimato, served by Acea, will have its charging points supplied from zero emissions sources in nearby Guidonia, provided by Enel.
