Shepherd Chartered Surveyors deploys PHEV fleet
Shepherd Chartered Surveyors has added 15 BMW 330e plug-in hybrids to its fleet, as it looks to cut its carbon emissions.
The company has 150 chartered surveyors working across Scotland, and a fleet of 140 cars recording a cumulative three million miles each year. Deploying the BMWs is said to offer a tax-efficient alternative for employees and cut fuel bills.
George Brewster, senior partner at Shepherd, said, “Despite driving being a necessary and substantial feature of the surveyors’ day to day business activity, as a company Shepherd has been keen to ensure it acknowledges its environmental obligations and travels in the most environmentally-friendly way possible.
“Given our new drive to reduce our carbon footprint, perhaps we should turn our famous blue triangle green!”
