SMA invests in EV & hybrid remarketing

The group’s Birmingham Centre is the first to install an electric charging point on site as part of a forward-looking plan that will see all SMA sites will have EV charging stations by the end of Q3 this year

Meanwhile each site has a nominated EV expert trained on the products, maintenance and pricing. And there's a specialist monthly Low Carbon Sale that includes EVs takes place each month at Birmingham

‘We are anticipating a rapid increase in the electric/hybrid market in the coming years. A significant commitment to increasing the network of charging points, a shift from ownership to usage by consumers and positive taxation policies, all support our belief. We aim to support the move to electric and be seen as early adopters’ in the remarketing of these vehicles with charging points and on-site EV expertise across our Group to support this commitment,’ noted SMA’s national operations director Eddie Thomson.
