South-east business parks get rapid chargers

Frasers Property is installing rapid electric vehicle chargers at its business parks across the south east.

The 50kWh charging units are pay as you go

The firm has teamed up with charging firm InstaVolt to install the 50kw charging stations at its Watchmoor Park (Camberley) and Winnersh Triangle (Reading) business parks. It follows the installation of two units at Frasers’ Basingstoke business park a year ago, which have recorded more than 800 charging sessions since.

The chargers will be available for the wider public to use, as well as staff and visitors to the sites and offer pay-as-you-go access. Drivers simply tap their contactless credit or debit card, charge up and go.

Rupert Batho, commercial director at Frasers Property, said: “It’s important for us to offer our customers the services they need so we are working with InstaVolt to provide electric vehicle charging at several of our business parks in the south. EV charging helps to make our locations more attractive for staff and visitors to plug in when they travel to work or visit.”
