Starla Energy to supply customers with Indra smart home chargers

By / 1 year ago / UK News / No Comments

EV solutions provider Starla Energy is to supply customers with smart home chargers from Indra under a new nationwide agreement.

Starla Energy can provide its customers with a home EV charging hardware and installation service at point of sale

The tie-up means that Starla Energy can provide its car OEM, fleet, lease and dealer partners with a home EV charging hardware and installation service at point of sale.

Indra’s Smart Pro includes optimised charging schedules for off-peak charging, automatic software updates and solar compatibility with PV panels. Indra’s tariff integration technology also enables end-users to access the cheapest and greenest tariffs, including Type of Use tariffs.

The tie-up augments Starla’s work to provide innovative solutions and services for EV charging to individuals and businesses.

The company was founded in 2022 to address the growing need for electric vehicle charging solutions in the commercial and workplace sectors and has since expanded into providing other green technologies. These include home/workplace/commercial battery-based energy storage and energy generation using solar PV panel systems and on-site power generation, while the business is also developing battery storage innovations.

Martyn Broadhead, commercial director at Starla, said: “Indra has a great reputation within the developing EV smart tech sector based upon the excellent Smart Pro range which we believe to be the best pound-for-pound charger in the market. Its ability to take power from Solar PV systems as well as the grid is a big factor for us.

“We have already successfully delivered and installed Indra chargers to our customer base, and we look forward to delivering thousands more. The fact that Indra is UK-based is also in line with our policy to use homegrown solutions wherever possible – we want UK-created green technologies to drive UK market adoption to net zero.”
