Leading-edge technology solutions that can help companies reduce their fleet environmental impact are to be spotlighted by Targa Telematics at this month’s Great British Fleet Event.

Thomas Smith, UK country manager for Targa Telematics, will be present at the Great British Fleet Event to reveal how the company can support fleets’ electrification and mobility work

Bringing 20 years’ experience of supporting corporate fleets with telematics, the business will exhibit at the Great British Fleet Event on 29 March 2022 in Hammersmith, London, to show how it can support fleet electrification, optimal fleet management and the introduction of shared mobility to corporate fleets.

This includes its Targa4Electrics system, developed in line with Targa’s principles of enabling customers to achieve a competitive edge through technology whilst also promoting sustainability.

Created to support the shift to electric, the Targa4Electrics system enables fleet managers to analyse their entire fleet to identify opportunities for efficiency – both in terms of cost saving and reducing environmental impact – and to evaluate vehicles that can potentially be replaced by electric models.

The solution analyses a number of areas including the data history of each car and its use, reaching an objective conclusion on the efficiency and profitability of a potential conversion to fully electric or hybrid vehicles.

Targa Telematics also supports fleet managers beyond the initial assessment, helping them to manage the conversion process by developing a tailored plan for customers wishing to switch to electric vehicles. This can support corporate goals ranging environmental sustainability to the reduction of a fleet’s carbon footprint, while also bringing a considerable positive impact on the total cost of ownership (TCO).

Targa’s holistic proposition also supports ongoing management of the fleet; once the shift to EVs has been optimised, the solution continues to support the fleet manager by providing a suite of tools to enable the effective management of EVs in the fleet. This includes insights and data related to battery usage, recharging events and infrastructure, and optimal driver performance.

Another particular focus at Targa is corporate car sharing; the firm’s keyless technology enables companies to share their company vehicles safely and efficiently amongst authorised employees. Theis helps deliver a reduction in the Total Cost of Mobility through optimised use of vehicles, whilst ensuring the employee’s journey requirements are fully met. It also provides additional benefits by monitoring vehicle usage/mileage and reducing fleet management costs and CO2 emissions.

All this and more will be showcased at the Great British Fleet Event and Thomas Smith, UK country manager for Targa Telematics, will be present at the company’s stand to talk to attendees about how the company can support their fleet electrification and mobility work.

Fleets attending the show will also be able to see a host of other industry innovations in the exhibition area and find out latest fleet advice and best practice in the comprehensive Masterclass conferences. This will be followed by the prestigious Great British Fleet Awards in the afternoon.
