Ten-fold growth for Thriev's BYD e6 EV fleet

The company deployed 20 of the Chinese manufacturer’s electric MPVs in London in January 2014, and has charging equipment including BYD’s own units at its headquarters. Its vehicles are also available through the Kabbee smartphone app.

With a range of 186 miles to a single charge, the e6 is BYD’s first electric vehicle to be available in Europe, and early sales are expected to mostly consist of customers in the fleet sector. The manufacturer also has a joint venture with Daimler to develop vehicles for the Chinese market.
