Tesla Cybercab comes to Europe
Tesla is bringing the Cybercab robotaxi to Europe in a showcase at selected stores.
Unveiled last month at the We, Robot event in Los Angeles alongside the larger Robovan, the compact, self-driving coupé shows CEO Elon Musk’s vision of “the future of autonomy”.
This vision will be available for the public in the UK and other European countries to see for themselves until the end of the year.
In the UK, Tesla Cybercab will be displayed at the Tesla store in London Westfield from 20 November until 8 December.
The vehicle will also be displayed across select Tesla stores in France, Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden and Norway with details online here.
Tipped to go into production by 2027 and priced from around $30,000 (£23,630 / €28,390) according to Elon Musk, the long-awaited Cybercab is a two-seater vehicle with no steering wheel or pedals, accessible to anyone via the Tesla app.
The fully autonomous robotaxi is “designed to offer premium, individualised point-to-point electric mobility for everyone”, although plans to launch the vehicle outside of the US have not been announced yet.
A spokesperson said: “Ordering an autonomous ride with Cybercab will be fast and safe, giving a convenient and affordable transport option while being able to fit everything needed in the spacious trunk. Call it once and it’s yours as long as needed, for quick trips or all day.”
Tesla has also pledged that all its future vehicles will offer “unsupervised Full Self-Driving” capabilities, including the Model 3 and Model Y – which will be continuously updated over time with additional driver assistance features, moving toward an autonomous future.
