Tesla Model Y now available as a seven-seater

Tesla’s Model Y is now available in the UK as a seven-seater, delivering all-electric practicality for large families.

The Tesla Model Y seven-seater starts from £54,490

Solely available in the Long-Range All Wheel Drive variant, it’s priced £2,500 higher than the five-seater, starting from £54,490.

Already on sale in the US and other markets, it arrives in the UK as one of the few fully electric seven-seaters available.

The extra row of seats are designed for easy access with buttons located on the backrest of each middle row outside seat to fold them forwards. Rear-seat passengers also get two USB-C outlets and Tesla says headroom is “comfortable”.

The third-row seats also fold flat for maximum storage, increasing boot space from 363 litres in seven-seat guise to 753 litres, down on the 854 litres in the five-seater. With all rear seats folded fleet, cargo volume stretches up to 2,040 litres, plus there’s the 115-litre ‘frunk’ under the bonnet.

Range for the dual-motor Long-Range AWD variant is the same as the five-seater, standing at 331 miles WLTP on 20-inch wheels, rising to an estimated 351 miles with 19-inch wheels.

The new model is one of a raft of recent changes to Tesla’s line-up in the UK, alongside the arrival of the new Model Y Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive variant, which delivers up to 373 miles of WLTP range and is solely available as a five-seater. Tesla has also launched a new Model 3 Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive edition delivering up to 436 miles of WLTP range, following its facelift of the Model 3 at the start of 2024.

A facelift of the Model Y is expected in 2025, delivering a new-look exterior and interior along with powertrain upgrades.

First deliveries of the Model Y Long Range All-Wheel Drive seven-seater will start later this quarter.
