Toyota continues EV field trials in Japan

Starting this week, Toyota’s third test of electric vehicle infrastructure will use a total of 147 charging points across four municipalities in Aichi – Kariya City, Toyota City, Toyohashi City and Negakute City – of which 43 are newly installed.

Participants this time will be broadened to include cultural and social service facilities, as well as commercial, tourist and accommodation locations, and Toyota hopes to monitor usage, alleviation of range anxiety and the usage of multiple charging points at areas of peak demand.
