Toyota GB reveals Prius Plug-in pricing

By / 13 years ago / International News / No Comments

The announcement is the third within a week, after UK specification was revealed for the Yaris Hybrid and seven-seat Prius+ MPV, both of which set best-in-class CO2 emissions.

Prius Plug-in uses the familiar Hybrid Synergy Drive found in a conventional Prius, but adds a lithium ion battery which can be recharged from a wall socket using the five-metre cable stowed under the boot floor.

As a result, it can cover up to 15.5 miles on electric power, at speeds up to 62mph, while returning 134.5mpg and emitting 49g/km CO2.

Standard features include heated front seats and 15-inch alloy wheels, while options include black leather upholstery, parking sensors, privacy glass and a chrome styling pack.
