Toyota lowers RAV4 PHEV entry price with new grade
Toyota has introduced a new entry-level trim for its RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid, lowering the entry-level price.

The Design trim sits under the existing Dynamic and Dynamic Premium lines for the RAV4’s PHEV powertrain and is priced at £46,495.
Equipment includes the Toyota Touch 2 multimedia system with a nine-inch touchscreen, six-speaker audio, sat nav and Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. The Design trim also features power driver’s seat adjustment, a reversing camera, auto-dimming rear-view mirror, smart entry and push-button start and auto-folding door mirrors with integrated puddle lights.
It also gets a dual-zone air conditioning system with a remote operation function, along with automatic LED dual-beam projector headlights, automatic windscreen wipers, power tailgate and front and rear parking sensors.
The RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid Design also features the full package of Toyota Safety Sense active safety and driver assistance systems, with a Blind Spot Monitor and Rear Cross Traffic Alert with auto braking also included.
The RAV4 PHEV is the flagship version of the RAV4 and features a 2.5-litre plug-in hybrid, providing 306hp and CO2 emissions of 22g/km along with an electric-only range of 46 miles, putting it in the 7% BiK bracket for 2021/22. Official fuel consumption is 282.5mpg and the battery can be charged in 2.5 hours using a 230V/32A connection.
