Toyota is introducing an electric version of its Proace City compact van, launching autumn 2021.

Also available as the Proace City Verso people carrier and offered in compact and long body lengths, it will join the forthcoming electric versions of the larger Proace van and Verso models.

It’s developed in partnership with PSA, which is launching its sister Citroën e-Berlingo, Peugeot e-Partner and Vauxhall Combo-e electric vans at the same time.

The powertrain features a 136hp electric motor and 50kWh lithium-ion battery. Range is yet to be announced. Models will be fitted with a 7.4kW single-phase onboard charger as standard and optional 11kW three-phase charger for faster charging.

Further details will be announced next year.
