Toyota RAV4 Hybrid priced from £26,195
On sale now, the hybrid uses a 2.5-litre petrol engine with electric motors at the front and rear axles, similar to the system used in the platform-shared Lexus NX 300h. CO2 emissions and fuel economy have not been confirmed yet, however U.S. figures imply these will be slightly better than the equivalent NX, so should be under 120g/km in its most efficient form.
The RAV4 Hybrid will be offered in three of the five trim levels which form the new RAV4 range. Availability starts with the Business Edition Plus, which includes touchscreen navigation, DAB, dual-zone climate control and keyless entry and start with a powered tailgate, priced at £26,195 on the road.
Icon versions, which include 18-inch alloy wheels, leather and Alcantara upholstery and heated front seats, are priced at £29,795 on the road, while the top-spec Excel with full leather and navigation is £30,795.
Toyota Safety Sense is £695 on all versions, with Pre-Collision System, Lane Departure Alert, Automatic High Beam and Road Sign Assist features, the RAV4 will also gain Adaptive Cruise Control along with two significant enhancements to the basic Pre-Collision System functions.
