Toyota reaches 20% hybrid sales mix in Europe

Newcomers the Yaris Hybrid and the refreshed Auris Hybrid totalled 11,459 and 12,736 sales, accounting for over a quarter and over a third of their model’s sales mix respectively. 

The Prius+ MPV has almost doubled the Prius family’s sales, totalling 3,715 units against the hatchback’s 4,039 sales. Hybrids made up a 18% share of Toyota’s European sales during the first quarter.

In the Lexus stable, hybrids accounted for 59% of the 9,256 sold in Europe, of which 3,004 were the CT 200h. Hybrid versions of the GS, LS and RX made up 34%, 45% and 59% of the models’ sales respectively.

Toyota Motor Europe is responsible for all Western, Central and Eastern European countries including Turkey and Russia as well as Israel and a number of Central Asian markets (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan).
