By / 13 years ago / International News / No Comments

Available to pre-order now, the Yaris uses a downsized version of Toyota’s tried and tested hybrid powertrain, claimed to allow the car to conduct a third of its urban mileage without the engine running. As a result, the car produces 99bhp yet returns 80.7mpg.

At 79g/km CO2, the Yaris Hybrid also qualifies for zero vehicle excise duty, congestion charge exemption and benefit in kind taxation of 10%. Equipment levels will also be high, with air conditioning and a CVT automatic gearbox included as standard.
