Commercial fleet charging solutions firm Tual has appointed former Mobilize Beyond Automotive UK COO Chantal Shearing as VP product.

A seasoned automotive executive and engineer, Shearing will oversee the development of the firm’s swappable powerbank and charging solutions for commercial electric vehicles, helping to transform the productivity and profitability of enterprise fleets.

Shearing has more than 25 years’ experience in the industry and has played instrumental roles in shaping electrification strategies for global OEMs.

She previously led the zero-emission vehicle charging infrastructure team at transport consultancy Steer Davies Gleave, before assuming her most recent position as UK COO at Renault Group e-mobility business, Mobilize, overseeing the strategic rollout of its EV ecosystem and mobility offering in the UK.

Her background also includes four years as e-mobility manager at JLR where she was responsible for the carmaker’s global public charging strategy, guiding product development to adapt to innovative new technologies and deliver on the needs of customers.

Shearing brings a deep understanding of the EV charging infrastructure sector that includes insight into industry roadmaps, its most pressing challenges and its key priorities.

She joins Tual during a pivotal growth period, as the business advances its go-to-market strategy for its swappable powerbank and Battery Buffered Charger solutions, conceived to maximise enterprise fleet uptime and transform productivity, profitability and utilisation in the electric age.
