Vauxhall slashes prices for electric Corsa and Astra models

Vauxhall has shaved thousands of pounds off prices for its electric Corsa and Astra models, helping more drivers go electric.

The new pricing structure cuts up to £4,765 off certain models, supporting the brand’s work to make electric mobility attainable for all.

For the Corsa, the entry-level pricing remains at £26,895 following the recent launch of the special edition Corsa Electric Yes Edition for the 50kWh 136hp variant but the next-level Design trim now benefits from a new, lower price of £29,045 – down by £3,400. The GS trim is priced at £31,230, down by £2,850 while the Ultimate variant is now £33,040 – a massive £4,150 saving.

The Corsa Electric Long Range variant is also now cheaper following the arrival of the entry-level Design trim for the first time. Featuring a 51kWh battery and a more powerful 156hp motor for a range of up to 248 miles (WLTP), the Corsa Electric Long Range is now available from £30,440 OTR.

Vauxhall has cut Corsa Electric Long Range prices for the GS and Ultimate trims, which now stand at £32,625 and £34,435, respectively; down by £2,850 and £4,150 as with the standard range models.

The Astra also cuts prices for higher-rung versions. The range still starts with the recently launched Astra Electric Griffin from £34,995 but the Design model is now priced at £34,945 (down £2,850).

Astra Electric GS and Ultimate trims are now priced at £37,240 and £39,395 respectively, representing savings of £2,905 and £3,865 .

And the Astra Sports Tourer Electric is cheaper than before, now starting at £36,195 in Griffin grade, a drop of £1,000, while the Design trim gets a £3,850 lower starting price than before, available from £36,145. Astra Sports Tourer Electric in GS guise is now £38,440, a drop of £3,905, and the top-rung Ultimate is now priced at £40,695, benefiting from a £4,765 saving.

Vauxhall also recently revealed that the new Frontera Electric and Frontera Hybrid will both be available for the same list price, becoming the first manufacturer in the UK to offer list price parity between electric and petrol hybrid versions of the same car. Both versions will start from £23,495 when orders open later this year.
