Vauxhall ups Movano-e range to 154 miles with new 75kWh battery
Vauxhall has updated its Movano-e electric van with a new larger 75kWh battery, increasing driving range up to 154 miles but with no extra cost.
The new pack replaces the 70kWh battery previously available and brings an improvement of up to 15 miles in driving range while delivering maximum torque of 260Nm from the 120hp electric motor.
At the same time, technical enhancements to the Movano-e’s electric architecture have also enabled significant charging time improvements, with a 0-80% charge from a 22kW AC charger now halved to just four hours. The Movano-e also comes as standard with 50kW DC rapid charging capability, enabling a 0-80% charge to be completed in one hour.
Pricing remains unchanged from the previous 70kWh unit, despite the improvements in range and charging times. The Movano-e range starts from £57,913.33 OTR (excl. VAT) after the current £5,000 Plug-in Van Grant.
Vauxhall’s eLCV is available in two lengths – L3 and L4. The former is 5,998mm long, while L4 offers an additional 365mm with a total length of 6,363mm and is priced at £58,813.33 (after PiVG and excl. VAT).
The updated Movano-e sits alongside the Combo-e and Vivaro-e; Vauxhall is one of the few manufacturers able to offer fleet and business customers an electric van across its entire LCV line-up as part of its plans to only sell fully electric cars and vans by 2028.
It’s also the only major OEM to manufacture vans in the UK. From 2023, the brand will manufacture electric vans in the UK at its Ellesmere Port plant.
