Top rugby referee and barrister Wayne Barnes will be the guest speaker at the Great British Fleet Awards next week, adding to the stellar line-up.

Wayne Barnes will draw on his experiences as a rugby referee and barrister to deliver the keynote speech at the 2024 GBFA

Wayne is one of the world’s leading international sports officials and was named World Rugby Referee of the Year in 2019 and took charge of the recent Rugby World Cup Final in 2023.

He announced his professional refereeing retirement after a record-breaking career spanning five RWCs and over 100 test matches – and has been a practising criminal barrister since 2003.

With a book and podcast too, Wayne will have many stories to tell at the Great British Fleet Awards, which take place on the evening of 17 April 2024 at Marshall Arena, Milton Keynes.

The glittering evening ceremony will reveal the winners of Fleet World’s annual awards programme – crowning the top fleet managers, service firms and car, van and electric vehicle makers in the UK fleet sector.

The awards function is the finale to the day’s Great British Fleet Event – which will boast an info-packed format of exhibitions, networking and fleet-focused conference sessions from leading industry speakers.
