Zemo webinar to analyse EV battery life cycle
Zemo Partnership is hosting a series of webinars to explore the latest insights into lithium battery life cycle analysis, joined by a range of expert UK and international speakers.
Electric vehicles have a critical part to play in road transport decarbonisation, and as the market for electric vehicles accelerates, understanding the life cycle environmental impacts of lithium batteries will become increasingly important. It is essential that the transition to widescale electrification materialises sustainably.
The Zemo series of webinars will start with an initial event examining lithium battery manufacture and raw material supply chains.
The event will be chaired by Gloria Esposito, head of sustainability, Zemo Partnership and will include an insight into battery chemistry and technology roadmap by Jon Regnart, automotive technology strategist, Advanced Propulsion Centre UK.
Jarod Kelly, vehicle systems analyst engineer, Argonne National Laboratory, will look at lithium battery life cycle analysis emissions and energy, while Dr Robert Pell, managing director, Minviro, will explore the ranging impact of materials used in EV batteries.
Finally, Dominic Wells, senior analyst, Roskill, will talk on the effects of ESG-based policies on the lithium sector and Dr Stuart Coles, deputy director of research degrees, University of Warwick, will cover the outlook for EV batteries and their environmental impact: 2025 and beyond.
